Fished hordle yesterday morning as reports were it has been fishing ok. With it being The Masters weekend I had to fish mornings!

430AM alarm was most inappropriate, especially after watching The Masters but I knew it was going to be a nice day like Saturday so thought i'd pack the bivvy and only have the jacket until the sun popped up.

Such a nice beach this section, a shine of the torch and I settled just half way down the row of sheds. I didn't expect three tiers of shingle! So I set the rods up on tier 2 and the biv on tier 3 so I didn't get the usual sore neck! Rods out, leads pummelled into the abbys and back to sit and see the sun come up with a cup of coffee.

Armed with Lug, Rag and some Eels I was targeting the usual suspects at the moment of a ray or a turbot (early on) but sadly all got was a poxy whiting. The surf looked ok, but I really don't think the water was clear enough.

Nice beach and i was glad I had the bivvy as it got rather busy towards midday, a lot of people were fishing, and I did see a group of three going down towards the cliff section which looked like it should had been where I went so maybe next time hey.

well done on the whiting, we fish down there on sunday didn't have a bite, bait coming back, knot even crabs about.

Fished there Sunday tried peeler on one rod and sand eel at range on the other. Not a bite.!
Went over to key haven to watch the Mullet grazing on the algae gave them some bread just ignored it. Oh well was a lovely day though.!

So...I think OLDSKOOL LAMBRETTA you must had been to the left of me...near the steps down? Arrived about 730? If it was you looked to have a lot of weed issues, which i was light on.

And Petesoulmate, was you further towards the cliff face?

Nice to learn a new venue/parking/location down etc, nice beach with no sand everywhere and weed was miminal.

I might give it a bash at night next.
