Hi Folks,

Following on from last nights Chat: How far can you cast?

A football pitch in a recreation ground is approximately 100yds X 50yds. Can you cast the length of a football pitch or even the width?

I know that casting on the beach is completely different from casting on a football pitch, but how do you determine the distance you cast when on a beach.

Your views would be appreciated.

This may help you, for my coaching lessons the reels I use have all lines marked at 50 yds stages in different colours so when you have cast you see which colour is visible and know what colour is at what yardige.

i can cast around 90-100 yards with a fixed spool.
