<font color='#FF0000'>hello, can anybody tell me the type of knot used to make a mackerel trace ive whiped the feathers to hooks on size 4 spade ends and have 50lbs line.... i is stumped &nbsp;

<font color='#000080'>its a four turn water knot&#33; Hold the hook length against the rig body with the hook going away from the lead end form a loop from the two lines bellow the hook and pass the tag ends throgh the loop four times. Its basically treating the two lines as one and putting a four turn granny knot in it. Sorry no pictures but there will be a site out there with it on.

&nbsp;ekyone. &nbsp;thanks a lot m8 i will look it up tried taking a trace appart but.... lost the plot. lol ill tell you how i got on with it i beach fish in new quay west wales &nbsp;caught fifty mackerel after the blow last week &nbsp;bait freezer full for the winter now traces had a hammering so need to replace em cheers again &nbsp;lendusaworm (clive)</font>
