I am new to seafishing and would like to know the best places to fish in Hythe and Folkstone. What types of bait are the best to use, and what are you catching at the moment? I heard that a flowing trace was good for catching, what other traces can be used at these venues? Thanks.

Thanks beefcake for your info. have not been there yet, but will have to try. Sound's good. Went to deal pier 2 weeks ago. spent 5 hours fishing there, rain, sleet, wind, and freezing cold, but not a single fish.

shame, when you go to seabrooke it is best to go at night time (take lots of hot drinks and warm clothes and i big light).
i have been talking to some local fisherman and alot of them have said it is beat to go at night 2 hours before high tide and maybe 2-3 hours after.
squid may not be the beat bait down there now so i would try lug, rag and mackerel.
after you have been reply and tell us the results please!!!
