fished the pier yet again on friday night. it was practically dead, their was approx 20 anglers down their at one stage and i was the only one to catch!

As the tide turned i almost lost my light rod (float fishing) to a perfectly formed hard hitting 1 1/2lb pollack that took mackerel strip at about 8 ft deep.

the catch of th night though was on my conger rod a lovely lobster that pushed the scales to 2.8lbs.

Other that these two animals the night was totally dead for all who were fishing (not even a dog to anyone)

Fished the rocks infront of the wall today to use up the bait i had left from yesterdays excursion to cornwall.:notworthy:notworthy

Tried a few combinations today:idea:, best was (1 lug, 1 rag, tipped with squid:clap3:) on a pulley wishbone, took a small conger (3lb) a corkwing (1lb) and 2 doggies, not a bite to the mackerel at all.....:uhuh:

only one set of tackle lost and 1 hook chewed off, probably a crab.:g:

so not a bad day.
