hi there, of to ireland in two weeks and staying near the coast at connemara, can anyone tell me good places to fish and what i might be able to catch, is there bait and tackle shops in the area. many thanks

Here's a link to fishing in connemara, at the moment there are a lot of ray being caught from the rock marks onto clean sand and the usuall pollock and wrasse.

we stayed at clifden in connemara and fished the white mark.we had rays,conger and dogs.if you go there go light as it is a hike.there was a tackle shop but i cant remember it having any bait.we used mackerel that we had caught whilst out boat fishing.we didnt see another shore angler whilst there so try anywhere its rarely fished.good luck
