Are these the only 2 'artificials only' tournaments in the UK each year?

Jersey is not lure only, but there is a lure section.

Sort of nice to pit lures against the bait guys though....

As more and more serious lure anglers are taking part we can only hope that the lures do themselves justice this year.

Mick organised a Jersey lure only boat comp in July - fledgling year this year but I expect it to be bigger next year!

We need to keep developing to get to where the French are ...

Overseas anglers could bring thier own boats ,to take part :victory:

So there's a new lure only boat comp in July, Weymouth in September and Jersey lure & bait in October?

I'm quite surprised at the lack of tournaments/festivals for plugs only... I guess it's because modern lure fishing is still relatively new in the UK.

Oh well, I definitely want to try and make one of them next year. I'm very jealous of you guys who have made the effort to get to Jersey for this weekend.
