if your really itching to get out. middleton and the pilot piers, hartlepool will be ideal.

the wind is a little lighter now aswell.

if the lock is still on middleton gates you can climb around it. dont fish it over low though as with the big tides and rough water there will be no depth. its going to be better 3 hours either side of high.

the pilot is better over high on the outside but the channel is fine over high or low.

it,ll be great on those rocks over low but they havnt produced much this year. the big tides will mean all the kelp is exposed making it a bit awkward.

the base of the new south pier in the corner will be too heavy as will that pier with swells running up the rocks.

cheers dabby its just i have got some fresh crab to use up and theres not much around sunderland area. So i was just going to have a go tomorrow after i have been digging down hartlepool. I think i will just go to the tyne and fish for flattes.
