Tried the afternoon tide at Kelling on Saturday. Sea a bit rough after the blow on Thur/Fri. LOTS of weed which was a pain and no fish.
Had a look over at Salthouse to see if anyone had caught and only found one couple that had 3 Bass (undersize) which still went home with them.:sad2:
Tried Salthouse Sunday afternoon and although not so much weed stll blanked and saw no one else catch either.
Weather lovely and nice to be on the beach for a change, shame about the lack of fish.!!

Roger, hi. Yes i read your bits from earlier.
Must admit i did not put a great deal of effort into weekend as tides were not too good and the weed a right pain in the a---.
Good luck if you go and hope you have better luck than me.
Going Suffolk way in a couple of weeks so maybe i will find a fish there.?

Popped in to Overstrand with the family and push net yesterday. Rafts of red weed and no shrimp!

Al, i would like to think you are right but this year on a lot of the beaches it has been dire.
There must have been a lot of bait used this weekend as the beaches i visited were fairly busy and i did talk to a few people, apart from the 3 small bass on Saturday i didnt see or hear of any other fish caught.
There is a match next weekend i think at Kelling so the results of that will be interesting.!!

hi george thats unlucky for over the weekend mate, must admit havn,t had much enthusiasm of late with the lack of fish at the moment but hey autumn winter just round the corner, when your down in sept will have to have a go corton, southwold for the last of the summer soles lol
