Seen a few people fishing at the pier here,Anybody got any info on fishing there,or is it just a waste of time

Not fished there for a very long time. I guess you mean the wee pier just under the bridge. Was good for flatties and Eels. Tide can run very fast there and if I remember correctly there is a bit of an old boat sunk to the right. Strange I was just thinking I may pop up there of an evening to use up some of last years frozen crab.

Why not give it a go - if you are in Stirlingshire you cant be too far away - some of our trips need to be fact finding / trial and error - we cant expect always to be given "chapter and verse on marks" give it a couple of weeks and I will join you for an evening session and we can report the results on the forum.

Thanks.that's just the push i need to get off my a**e and do it
eels and flounder with the occasional bass, i lived there for a couple of years and now live just along the road in newmills, there are a few snaggy bits, i usually go for straight out with a 6 ounce gripper on my rig
