Hi folks I will be in East Portlemouth / Kingsbridge area middle of May and would like to target bream (both black and gilts) in the estuary. Looking at the arial pics I can see quite a lot of bottom is exposed at low tide is it safe to walk across this or could I sink into the mud? Also what is the best state of the tide to target bream here and are any areas better than others? Thanks.
You'll sink for sure, guilt fishing is very hit and miss, try anywhere you can get access and expect to have lots of blanks. Stunning part of the country, plenty of rock marks to fish near by.
