Can somebody please tell me the correct knot to use for tying new line onto my reel.In the past I've always got the bloke in the shop to load my reel for me but I want to do it myself this time.

Hi fogbound to tie your line to your reel spool use the grinner not mate.
go to www.anlglersnet.co.uk look on the knots section and use the 5 turn grinner for tieing on your line to the reel spool

Thanks for the info Fizz.My browser won't let me access that site for some reason but at least I know the name of the knot now so I can do a search for it.

If you go to www.marinews.com and click on fishin knots they give animated examples. It makes it really plain.

Sorry Bellboy but I couldn't find the knot in that section which is why I had to ask for help.Anyway I've got the info now so I can tie a new line on tomorrow..I'm off now to spin with my old line that is too heavy really but hopefully I'll have some luck.

Anyway I might not change to a lghter line now because I used the line which I thought was too big last night and I caught a cracking sea trout on a spinner, I had nothing to weigh it with but it was a very good fish
