took my son out for a l/w session on sunday as we were both itching to get out. luckily the rain and wind settled dramatically conditions were great it was overcast with a decent swell and the seabed was all stirred up . bait for the day was unwashed squid, black lug, Mackie and sandeel, we set up at the first mark using a 2 hook clip down, the wee man had a 3 hook flapper. we fished 2 down and 1 up over l/w landed a few small flounder and a wee huss about 2lbs. next we moved to the rock mark approx 2 miles south and set up again. using a pennel set up on mark with a squid/lug cocktail and leon decided for a soft rubber lure. from the off we were hitting into coalies, Pollock and whiting each cast. it was a great day but the bucket of bait was away within the hour and the swell was getting up quite fast. the wee man landed a decent wee Pollock on the last throw so we took it hame an stuck it in the pan. was good to blow the cobwebs out the system. next trip we r planning is port logan beach or a few hours at night over terally. heres hoping theres a codling or 2 there :)
