got up at stupid o`clock with my mate to head to caswell my mate didnt have any bait so we went in the darkness and dug up some lug to see him through the night anyhow started digging not far from that chippy by the mini roundabout mummbles which by the way was hard going not many worm casts? we didnt start fishing caswell until 4.15 hight tide was around 7.50 am i set up a pully rig baited with crab on one rod and a two hook patteronoster on the other rod baited with rag. Tide was obviously a little high for that type of fishing and we got chased up the beach fairly fast there was hardley any wind but still a good surf running and it did hammer down twice Well done derek off BBC wales weather wrong again! Any how cast out with the rag rod and bang practicaly straight away nice flounder bairly touched the water picked up another 2 flounder on that rod which i released. on the other with the pulley rig and crab picked up 5 bass all schollies which i returned the biggest one gave a good scrap mind in the surf. Used a new rood i had for my birthday a penn powerstick pro 15ft which i was realy pleased with even though i wasnt casting distance with it. My mate ended up with a small bass and little eel which were also returned he only fished the one rod mind and didnt go properly prepard otherwise i know he would have picked up more fish. didnt have a touch last hour of the tide so headed home. any advice for somewhere sat night where to fish in swansea PLEASE? obviously not beaches due to the big tides? Was thinking maybe knab rock or west peir what do you reckon?
