Hiya all, I'm launching this saturday for the first time. Is there any bream showing around west wales? I'll be going from pembroke dock in the morning.

Is there anything I could try for that I havnt thought about as I reckon the bass arnt in numbers yet and I'm not sure about the pollock?

Any advice/info would be warmly welcomed.

Cheers all

Bream fishing might not start properly for another few weeks. The first tope caught on Charlie Bartletts boat MIKATCHA was brought in last week.

Use size 6 hooks on 3 foot of thin mono about 12 inches off the bottom or a shrimp rig. Squid and belly mackerel are the best baits.
If you already knew the tactics I apologise.

All the best

Bobcat,

Plenty of medium pollock showing on mid channel rocks last week, also managed a couple of small codling. Not sure about the bass, didn't get to St Govans ledge to see. Was a pod of dolphins in and out the haven, which was nice to see, although not sure if they were feeding as no mackerel were showing.

Have fun, working this w/e so can't get down there, Grrrrrrrr :)
