Your rod is as good as you think it is. There are vastly superior rods on the market that I am sure that we would all like to update to, but we have to be happy with the one we have got, unless money is no problem.
We all have our likes and dislikes, as they say" One mans pleasure is another mans poison". (Where do I get them from???)
If you are not happy with your rod then I would suggest you try a Daiwa STS rod. I have recently purchased one and, am more than happy with it, although I have yet to catch a fish with it.
