[Mac The Mullet]

Evening all,

I have the opportunity to get my little boat up to Lendalfoot next year for a weeks fishing holiday in the summer. I was born and bred in Prestwick and used to take a small rowing boat out from which we could catch cod, plaice and mackeral in the summer.
I have not fished the Clyde for quite some time and am aware of the challenges there however I was wondering if anyone has any recent fishing experience of the area and any recommendations.

I have fished it a few times off the shore never had any record breaking sessions. I've had a few doggies and the odd flattie but not much else.

thanks mate.... I dont expect big stuff but was hoping for mackeral, plaice and perhaps the chance of a bass....??

Depends on when in the summer.
Late summer is better in that area. Plenty of mackerel and Pollack. Few tope in that area late July onwards.
Obviously your not so far away from the SW ports of Logan etc if you want more guaranteed sport
