As the summer is almost apon us I think its time I dabled with some live bait e.g sandeel and peelers. The question is how do you buy them at a tackle shop. Do I have to take a bucket and water in with me or do you get them in a tub and put them in a bucket when you get home etc...

I know this may sound like a silly question but I dont want to look like a fool and end up putting peelers in my pockets.

You would need a bucket with an aerator for your eels. Crab you can just keep out of water in the fridge (as they do)

you can keep the eels alive wrapped in some damp newspaper for quite a while if kept cool! If you're feeling flush you can get a bucket with a mesh insert to save having to chase the eels about!
