Went down to Llangenith today to have a go at the the golden greys.
Got there for 7.30 to be greeted by a big, messy surf which made the shoals difficult to spot - I only saw one jump all morning.
I managed to catch three up to about 1.5lb and then the surfers turned up, I know the beach is there for all, but when two surf schools turn up and fish within ten yards either side of about seven anglers you know its time to go. I tried to move a few times but seemed to be a magnet to surfers who decided to surf right by me.
What kind of surf instructor would let novice pupils bob about within feet of flying hooks and lead is beyond me.
I decided to move to Foxhole as I've always thought it looked fishy but had never tried it, so it was a recce as much as anything. I only had maddies but managed three bass up to about 2lb.
Stunning venue I'll be back soon.:victory::victory::victory:
