Hi folks, arrived at inverary pier at 1.30pm to stock up on some mackys for bait,2nd cast full house,3rd cast another 3.stayed there about half an hour, polish guy caught a nice sea trout, wasnt sure where to go next as never fished there b,fore...taking advice from the forum opted for furnace quarry, guy we met on the pier showed us a picture of a 9lb pollock his mate caught there last week,so hopes were high, stopped for a wee pint or two in the pub at furnace 1st,weather was roastn, after coupla miller headed down to the quarry, place was mobbed, fished the point on the left hand side, set up beachcaster with macky, squid mussel cocktails just started setting up float rod,and big rod bent over, snagged solid, this happened 3 times in a row, very snaggy, put big rod away, opted to just use the float, varied depth,nothing.....tried spinning with jellyworms, nothing, seen more polish guys pulling out loadsa mackys, decided to try a less snaggy mark back just before inverary,a big crab and 2 eels on the one line was our lot before hitting the chippy for 2hr drive home,al defo be back, but we just dont have the luck(knowledge)yet, but wel get there, beatiful day, well burnt....
