HAS ANYBODY THATS BEEN FISHING LOCH LONG BETWEEN GLEN MALLEN AND ARROCHAR NOTICED THE LARGE SHOALS OF MULLET? HAS ANYBODY GOT ANY GOOD TIPS FOR CATCHING THEM, AS IVE TRIED EVERYTHING APART FROM DYNAMITE TO GET THEM OUT THE WATER:nonono:

i have large shoals of fish moving and also hiting the surface always put it down to sprat. Good to know theres mullet about as well

7 wt 9ft fly rod, floating line, tapered 12 ft leader to 4lb and any of the fresh water shrimp trout patterns that abound. Fantastic sport

yeah a mind one sesh last year fishin across from artgarden. tide was about 3/4,s in, and a shoal of about 10 came by us pickin at the underside o the seaweed. reckon they were between 3-5lb. if its the same as us and they,re right at your feet what about danglin a rag wm or a bit of bread in front of them. thats if you don,t spook them.

Hiya,

are they feeding or just cruising ??

If they are just cruising then you can pretty much forget it but if they are feeding then there is a chance they can be caught. Try them on floating bread and see if they show any interest in it.
