Heading up to Lochcarron next week for 3/4 days to stay with parents.

Planning a couple of day/night sessions from shore to hopefully land my first ray and also to spin for Pollack etc. Weather permitting, will hopefully get out on old mans boat for a day too. He was outlast week and had plenty cod/coalies on hokkais so hopeful of getting something.

If anyone has fished it from shore lately (or even previously at this time of year)it'd be good to know how you got on-particularly any marks for rays as I'm dying to add them to species list.
I've never heard of any spurries from the loch either which is maybe surprising given depths/type of ground etc.has anyone else ever heard of them being caught from loch??

pm's preferred if naming any specific marks given the mess that's been left at other marks mentioned on forums.(e.g avalanche shelter!!)

I've had a few rays from the loch, biggest 8lb . No sign of any spurs though... Should be thornies on the go this time of year....
