If anyone is thinking of fishing the bar be aware that there is a net running the entire length of the bar, this was last night (17th) had to fish the first beach, had fish though, 5 species.
don't know if it will still be there tonight.

If it was the marker buoys I saw, it was about 300mts. If it was 50mts off the beach my casting is worse than I thought. Never hooked it once. 6x LSD and 1 whiting for me last night. Beautiful night though, shooting stars, big moon and never seen the sea so flat down there.

you must of been over the gunwalloe end, under the house you could almost touch it, the orange bouys were the beginning, middle and end, in between were a row of small black floats which were coming into the beach in an arc, you could almost pee on them under the house.

I was. Could see orange marker out from the first of the rock outcrops. As I only got down there as the light was starting to fade, that thing I thought was a cormorant sitting on the water could have been a black float. Sorry, but age its setbacks, impaired vision, hearing and memory. Still, back on topic. Add the chopped oranges, half the sugar and boil....... oops! Told you so.
Well, as much as it may have bxggared the beach up, look on the bright side. At least that's another excuse for not catching much.

Just great that isnt it. What with the high hopes for the winter season and all that....
What say we arrange a meet, get the boys down there, snag it somehow and have the biggest game of tug of war seen this side of the tamar and haul the thing in. Next stage would involve fire.....

Im sorry I understand and respect the need for commercial fishing but that takes the ****! Looks like the Chesil trips will be back on.

What if the net is legal?

It's like someone coming along and burning your car cos it's parked on their road.

If someone came along and stole your tools and ability to work where would you be? Think about it. If anyone destroys another man's property out of jealousy (Because of a hobby) then they deserve what they get.
