Fished Pendine today surf was spot on wind and driving rain which was on and off, 1 rod setup for flounders (didnt bother for long as the rig was more on the sand than in the water due to the wind) other rod setup with double razor on pennel rigged running leger

Flood tide i missed a 'typical' bass knock bit annoying that but rebaited and it was quiet till the water was about 2hours before high when i got talking to a lad about rods (rather impressed with the anyfish anywhere clubman bass he had)

Got back to my rods and as if my rod refused to be replaced tap tap BANG BANG 'LOAD OF SLACKLINE' feel a definate bass thumping the tip got it close thinking definate insize to see the big head of a 5lb 8oz lump of silver beached 'GET IN THERE' i thought.

I picked the trace moved about 30ft from the water only for the bass to shake its head hard a snap 40lb amnesia like wet cotton, fish came home to and will be thoroughly enjoyed, cant wait to get my fireblade backcaster rebuilt for the BIG GIRLS, till next time pics below

I knew the dulcets tones of the Shirley would lure you back to the sea sooner or later back pain or no back pain.

Cheers M8 the surf was spot on, backs as stiff as a lampost this morning but thats what painkillers are good for, there were a few big flounder caught up by the sticks aswell as a 5lb bass, it was quiet from low water to 2hours up, which i normally find the better time,

Cheers brolly M8, i'm suffering this morning but waiting for that bass cooking L8R will be worth it i reckon, i was glad i could cast (as the back has been playing up worse recently) wish i'd of taken a heavier rod as the flounder rod couldnt hold, reckon a few schoolies would of been out to lug to, i normally go right down the left side but no way was i trying it again at the mo,
