Hi all,

I have an urge to buy another fishing rod and want to make sure that I have covered all bases.

It will be used for (in order of primary use);
- Spinning and plugging over rough ground for Bass
- Using 3 or so feathers off a pier and off cliffs for small to medium pollack
- Spinning (possible dead baiting) for Pike.

I'm seriously looking at (in order of preference);
- Daiwa Powermesh X 10-60 @215g = 127 euro
- Teklon Concept Spin 15-60 @ 268g = 170 euro.
- Daiwa Wilderness XT 10-60 @ 238g = ~100 sterling
- ???
- ???
- ???
- ???

I would really appreciate any new feed back on the above rods.
Thanks in advance.

got the 10ft teklon, its powerful, has a stiff but bendy tip, i like it a lot and snapped the tip being a ***** recently, I got the tip replaced for 50 odd pound, its not my 1st rod, thats my DFR 10.5ft, but I still like it enough not to part with it and bother getting it sorted, best at casting lures like 145 minnows patchinkos a long way. its a nice rod for the money.

Thanks for that Matt. Using the forum search, I think you had the Daiwa Powermesh X a couple of years ago, no ? and if you did can you compare?

Held the Powermesh X in my hand, didn't really like it. I walked out with a 8.6 bush 20-60. Can't wait to try it out.

:fishing1:If you've a small budget the Rovex Lure Spin is a good buy, they also do 4 piece travel rods, They are marketed through Masterline so you don't see them advertised but for a good value rod they're worth a look. :fishing1:
