That bay certainly looks like it could become a serious RSA mecca if the commercial fishing industry was taken right out of the loop.

Commercial interests appear to only be interested in ploughing the seabed into a desert of mud now anyway, since there's not much left to exploit.

Would be nice to have a proper sportfishing zone in scotland.

Anyone fancy having a recreational sportfishing mecca for Bass etc based in luce bay, with the commercial boys banned.
Sounds good to me.

The commercial fishing guys can squabble over what remains of the fishing industry around the rest of the UK coast, picking over the bones of their long dead golden goose.

This might be the place.

The locals would make a killing out of it, and unlike with the hillwalking industry there's even a big winter season following for cod etc.

The commercial fishing industry is hell bent on armageddon anyway, it's a suicide bunny industry, so a place like "Luce bay sea park" would definitely become a massive asset.

If you wish to discuss the topic, do so in the thread running in C&P as linked to from the first post.

If you can't be bothered scrolling back up the page click HERE.

For the sakes of tidyness and so a C&P type discussion don't overspill into the Scottish Forum, this one is closed.
