Had a good day out of Portpatrick with Steve Stringer on Lucky Dip2.
Small tides, light winds and even some sunshine, we weren't expecting too much, but on the first drift we were into decent haddock upto 1.5 lb along with dogs and small whiting.
We anchored and got a steady stream of haddies up to nearly 3lb, plenty returned and we kept a few each for fish teas this weekend.
A few more haddock, codling, whiting, pollock, coalies, lsd, one Huss and one ling and a grey gurnard made for a decent day early in the Sw season.

Yeah, what surprised me was there no undersized fish, we threw back plenty in size fish.

Great trip out you had there plenty of fish and a good variety of species too. The sun shining too it just doesn't get any better well done.
