for a few days only you can re-wrap them in news paper and keep then very cold but dont freeze unless you make sure there gutted and in cling-flim

it depends what type they are , i keep mine in a big bucket in the fridge , my mate uses trays and only just covers them we check them every day and remove the snotty ones we also change the water daily. it only really works with good quality big ones , sometimes they keep for a week.

wrap them in newspaper and keep them in a cool box with one ice block. they seem to last a bit better than in a fridge this way.
