Made mackerel lures from short strips of &#39;Walkers Crisp&#39; Packets tied to the hookey thing behind a bead I slipped on first. &nbsp; One set red/silver, one set orange/silver and a third sickly green/silver (and they worked)&#33; &nbsp;Must tell Gary Linacre about it&#33; &nbsp;Cheers, Tony.

<font color='#000000'>What flavour did you use
? - is any wrapper better than the other (e.g. red, blue, green) - no doubt kitchen foil or kit-kat wrappers made into a sandeel would work too

<font color='#000000'>Hi Folks,

No need to tie them on, put three or four strips on each hook, and provided that you clean the trace after each session, they will last a lifetime.

The foil from a box of wine will provide you with enough for years, there is a plastic film on the surface which helps the hooking.

Cheers
