Hello mate, I had all mine down culpepper close on medway city estate last season, had them up to 4.5lb and what was even more interesting is that i had them all on cooked and peeled king prawn, i had lug and squid but all that seem to attract was pouting and whiting, but they didnt touch the prawn, only the codling did, so perfect really!

My advice would be fish there in darkness, i personally got my codling as soon as the tide turned onwards so i prefer to fish the tide up and down, about 2 hours each way. 2 king prawns on a single size 4/0, cast as near to the middle of the river as possible, and definitely take the usual lug etc but i would recommend to have a pack of prawns too, if cooked and peeled are all you can get....they worked for me.

Good luck mate.
