Mackerel, off southend

Has anyone caught any mackerel off southend pier yet, or out in a boat out from the river crouch or off southend in a boat I would like to no, So Please post or PM me Good for the tope fishing if there in.....

They should be about. I heard last night of some mackerel being caught north of the Crouch from a boat. With this settled weather we could see a lot more of the summer species moving inshore.
