We've booked a last minute holier to Palma Nova in Majorca at the end of the month. Does anyone know if it's worth bringing the plugging gear or should I concentrate on sandcastles with the kids and build up the brownie points??
Although not in Maorca I'm in Barcelona which is on near enough the same level (latitude..?)
On this side during August and September fishing is OK but you need to make it at dusk or dawn as the midday sun pushes fish into deeper offshore water. Plugs will catch but also take yourself small silver lures like tobys or dexters, these work very well when retreived fast, a couple of feet down, in the top of the water.
