Went to the harbour again last night from 9pm to about 1ish.
plenty of whiting coming up and a few crabs but my mate had what we thought was a doggy but im not too sure, it wasn't rough skinned and looked very much like a small smoothhound
i will add the pictures on here soon.
anyone ever heard of smoothhound off the harbour before?
i could be wrong as the photo quality aunt much good and he only used lug.

here is the photo like i say doesn't look very good as it was done using iphone cos i forgot the camera again :wallbash:
hopefully someone can confirm it for me though by the shape of the head.

didnt even occur to me it might be a tope, still better than a bloody dogfish either way LOL!

I haven't fished the harbour arm for a few years now. I used to fish the original pier as a kid.

I was told the other day that due to sea defense work (probably to stop the new art gallery from falling into the sea) the harbour would be closed from October until March 2012 so don't know how that will affect the access to fishing spots along that area.

All that money wasted on the turner centre, could have had the sea defences built ages ago.
