We have some right lunkers in the marina. I don`t fish for them often but I know a few who do. Seen a few 6lb`ers caught and much bigger ones lost, had a few myself to 4lb and great fun on a light fly rod. Fishing is not allowed in the marina but we do have a little go off the back of the boats now and then and not a lot gets said, they take enough money off us.
Best times are around the flood slack we find, they seem to be on the feed then in the marina but we do see them at other times.
When I go down the boat very early in the morning big shoals can be seen at times.
With a high pressure they are on or near the surface but with a low pressure they seem to be down deep and you hardly see them.
Lots in there at the moment and I would have thought fishing on the sea side of the wall would be pretty similar.
