SPRING OPEN SEA ANGLING COMPETITION (ROVER)

Sunday 4 May 2014, Fishing 10.00 – 2.00pm

Venue: Workington Jetty to ‘Bankend’ Farm, Maryport

HEAVIEST FISH FORMAT MATCH
Competitors to weigh in only their heaviest flat fish & round fish.


Cash prizes (seniors) for
Heaviest Flat-Fish: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Heaviest Round-fish: 1st

Seniors - £15.00
Juniors £3.00 (Paid out to overall heaviest fish)


(NB; This is a 3 hook maximum match.)

Entries on the day, from 8.00am at Glasson Rangers RL Club Maryport.

(With this match not being included in the latest match planner of SEA ANGLER, we can no longer advertise it as eligible as a Penn league qualifier)



Directions to Glasson Rangers RL club (CA15 8EL)

From the South (Workington, Whitehaven etc.)
Proceed north on the A596 until you come to the outskirts of Maryport (Grasslot). Pass the industrial estates, when you come to the pedestrian crossing prepare to turn right. Turn right on to Ewanrigg road, it is sign posted for the hospital. Proceed along Ewanrigg road, straight over at the mini roundabout. The club is now about 150m away on your right. Turn right just before the speed restrictor.

From the East. (Cockermouth, Penrith, Teeside [A66], M6 J40,
Proceed west along the A66 to Cockermouth. Straight over the first roundabout, at the 2nd roundabout take the 2nd exit, A595. Carry on for about a mile, and at the next roundabout take the 1st exit, A594. Carry on about 5 miles to Maryport. The road will bring you to a traffic lights crossroads. At the crossroads turn left. This is the main road through Maryport, pass the ‘Total’ filling station on your left, and over the humpback bridge. On your left is a short terrace of houses, at the end of the terrace turn left’ it is sign posted for the hospital. Proceed along Ewanrigg road, straight over at the mini roundabout. The club is now about 150m away on your right. Turn right just before the speed restrictor.

From the North (Carlisle, Scotland [M74], Tyneside [A69], M6 J44-42
Proceed through Carlisle and take the A596 (signed for Workington). Follow the road until you arrive in Maryport at the traffic light controlled crossroads. Go straight over the crossroads. This is the main road through Maryport, pass the ‘Total’ filling station on your left, and over the humpback bridge. On your left is a short terrace of houses, at the end of the terrace turn left, it is sign posted for the hospital. Proceed along Ewanrigg road, straight over at the mini roundabout. The club is now about 150m away on your right. Turn right just before the speed restrictor.
