I used to love big tides as it exposed the runny down casts. This was years ago when i was a lad. The runny was found on the beach at seaton at Hartlepool and in the basin next to the Middleton. And alsoon the beach between the Middleton and the Banjo.
Heres a one for the young uns. When a storm blew people used to pick the runnydown up off the beach. I have done this.
I also dug King rag next to the banjo. Trenching the sand. The rag were MASSIVE.
This would have been about 30 years ago.
Another thing about the big tides is recovering old sinkers. Get down i,ll bet you get some.
