Went to Melrose, Aberdeenshire again today. Fished 5 hours, 1 down the tide, over slack and 3 up. Bait was Mackerel and Pouting. A productive day with a small Scorpion Fish first (never sure which is which), then a first for me - a Topknot. A small Ling followed then a Saithe and last a couple of small Edible Crabs. Hoped for a Codling with the swell, but not to be today.

First time I’ve ever seen a topknot - well done bud! What size was it - only I had a quick look at the record list and it looks like it stands at only 8oz8dr..

It was palm sized basically. Not sure of weight, under a pound. Would have said more than 8oz 😁
