Underwater SPYDRO Videos of 2019!

For a month i haven't gone out fishing. No new gear to "play" with. Needless to say it's been boring though i'm getting home projects done. Many of my fishing buddies love to watch my underwater videos that i've captured on my underwater SPYDRO Camera. So i decided to put together my favorite selection of 30sec clips from last year.

This work is for my fellow pandemic prisoners who love watching life underwater. Some of these clips have never been seen yet as i have 100's in storage. All scenes were shot on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.

Epic!!

I am curious to know how you get the bait in front of the camera?

cheers
Dave
Hi Dave,
I use a short 2ft leader w/2 hooks (1 hook at 1-1/2ft, the other at the end). At the last hook i placed a 1/4oz lead egg w/a spacer bead between that and the hook. So when i cast my line out i "thumb" the spool slightly before it hits the water. Then i very slowly reel a few feet back in when the rig is sinking. More trouble-some in salt water as it's more buoyant.

Hi Chris,

i think i get you, does this mean the camera is already in place and you cast towards it and reel in until its located nicely?

Cheers
Dave

It's almost by feel if i keep the line taunt. My added weights will keep the unit upright and i'll slowly pull the unit maybe a foot towards me & set it tight. Took me a few tries until i could master this while changing the weighted system.
