the reef fishing off Milford Haven has switched on nicely with decent pollock coming up,

Dave Phinney's gang from the USA found plenty with some good fish of 5/6lb, well worth the trip to sunny Pembrokeshire, nice easy fishing for novices and tasty treats for tea. Awesome Epic fishing as our colonial brothers say, yee ha !

On the smaller tides we've been hunting various shark species inshore,
The lads from Tenby & District Angling Club and their guests found a healthy 5 species of sharks and various other fish yesterday.
Best Tope of the day, a tidy fish of 32/35lb, was caught by James L using Frozen Mackeral as bait,

Lots of Huss, mainly about double figures in weight, came to the boat.

A bit of assistance from Barry, for Cai.
Cai had battled it to the top but didn't fancy doing the deck dance with it !
Top lad, well done. Pretty damn awesome for your first ever sea fish !
The old uns joined in the fun, just to show they hadn't lost it,

A nice 21 lb Tope for Nev, caught on freshly caught Mackeral , thanks Joe !

Hounds were caught on a range of baits, crab & squid/Mackeral cocktail.

Well done all,
Keep it tight,
Dave.

There's not one of those that you can't get from the shore in West Wales.
Now there's a challenge for someone. The West Wales Grand slam ..... Pollock, Hound, Huss and Tope. All from the shore...... Can be done. Let us know who does it.

ps. Great report and pictures "excel" nice to see. ( especially the youngster in the action )
