Or to the above and started fishing just after 6, I knew the tide was going to be pulling hard so plan was to fish close in to see what was about. Fished 2 rods, 1 with a pulley and a single 2/0 the other with a pulley wishbone with sz 1 hooks. Didn't have time to get any rag so just used squid bluey and Sandeel.
Had a few very small knocks from the off but nothing decent till around 8 when the whitting appeared on the wishbone and bluey.
Just after 9 I had an awesome (smoothie type) bite on the wishbone with squid strips which resulted in my first ray of the year.

The ray gave a pretty good scrap in the tide.
After that I had a few more whitting on all baits and both rigs and doggies on the pulley with Sandeel.
Bites got slower as the big old bright moon got higher so called it a day about 11.
All in all it wasn't a bad night, no weed either which is always a bonus.

They certainly do when there's a good tide pulling, I'll be back there Saturday night for another crack at them?
