Hi Guys,

Any one fished off Millenium Pier recently? Thinking of giving it a go on saturday afternoon. Never been there before so any advice on parking, etc would be great?
I assume the standard two/three hook flappers and ragworm are the order of the day?

Regards

Not really a spot I favor, would much rather hit the beach.

Parking is more or less anywhere on the road adjacent to the pier.

Flapper, Ragworm, correct.

Saturday day time be prepared to be surrounded by kids, and busy traffic on the water.

I would fish it at night for bass bait would be macci head or a fillet dropped over the side. Martin
Just don't forget to take yourself a tiny little bat to wallop the local gosport drunks with if they get too friendly, had the pleasure of being surrounded by a group of said gosport drunks and have never been back since. Apart from that, enjoy the fishing.

Not much lol.u may get the odd bass. Dropping it down the side will get mini species.the corner under the camera is very snaggy but it holds fish.the corner next to the merry mouse is usually snag free.if you want a real crack at bass (June onwards) then as I've said whole squid at night.ive lost a few big bass to them dragging me under the boat or pontoon.its takes a lot of patients like all bass fishing.

I've noticed with the bass there they feed for 30 mins or so then nothing.once you have found this feeding period you chance of getting one is good.usually near low tide. Sitting it out is key.and be prepared to blank.you can always fish for eels and pout on ragworm while your fishing for bass at the same time.

Sorry if it sounds stupid, but I can't find Millenium Pier, Gosport on Google maps. As I'm not very mobile now, pier fishing is my best bet but living in the Midlands I would like to know how to get to a venue before setting off. Please advise this old duffer where Millenium Pier is.
