Minehead over low?

Is there any marks at Minehead that fish well over low? I'll be down there at the weekend.
Am I right in saying the beach to the West of the harbor is a good mark?

Yes, the beach in front of the lifeboat Station, it's called Gasworks beach can be fished at al states of the tide. Whether it's a good mark depends on the day.

There's bait and tackle shop just yards away at the start of the harbour wall.
....you might need extra leads if you cast short into the cobbles.

....and wear some boots with ankle support, those cobbles are not pleasant to walk and stand on

It depends on the state of the tide, at low you can be on the sand and at high you will need to cast a reasonable distance, not record-breaking stuff , I'm not a big caster but haven't lost much tackle there. I used to fish alongside the wall by the harbour, the height of the wall above the beach depends on recent storm activity; it can be just right to lean your rods against and from there you can cast at '2 o'clock' when facing down the wall to fish over clean ground. You will need heavy grip leads on the ebb there as the tide drags back around the corner.
On the rest of the beach you will need to keep going when you wind in, if you let the lead drop into the cobbles it can jam up quite easily. It is one of the very few beaches a pulley rig is designed for although a running ledger or 2 hook flapper is my choice there.

The cobbles are what some locals call 'Zummerzet Zand', they are a droll lot down there.

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.
Porlock weir fishes at low and spot walking from harbour towards porlock white spot/post or something near bottom onto soft as said above once tide up wind like hell but need decent footware and mountain goat ability! as those rocks are killers on your legs but watch the tide esp if a big tide as comes in like hell soon catch you if not watching.
tide by harbour goes out miles so if going out there be very careful! it's quite something the tide rise as if there when at high water near ledge then walk round wall once tides dropped and top of wall is up there somewhere but tide is out there somewhere weird
You can fish in front of the first n second shelters too, or carry on along the path and pebbles to white mark for low water...
Just fished it today low to high, a few people there today bit nit a lot happening.

I was goin to av amother go at it over weekend, also thinking of Lilstock and maybe doniford for a low.

Gasworks didn't go that well for me. Had a couple of hand size cod and lost a couple of fish in the rocks (maybe dogfish).

I had a butch of a night on Saturday too, got there so early to claim a spot. I managed to get my car near to it so could watch it. Thought no one's around I'll have a quick nap (worked nights all week). Only fall asleep with ignition on and the blower in first setting, OH YES flat bat at 2am in Minehead!!!
Lucky for me there was a angler there who I managed to bum a jump start off.
Wasted session cause I was Pissed off.
U done better than me.

I was close to the RNLI station. Funnily enough I jump started a guys car at Abbotsbury that did the same thing last weekend lol
I think the end wall fishes better with the deeper water.

i got up to gasworks at about 3 on saturday and it was so busy so i fished off the harbour wall, had a tiny whiting and a rockling and left after a couple hours.

me and my mate booked into butlins for the 60s weekend and got smashed and danced to night away with a load of pensioners  this was without a change of clothes so there we are in our fishing clothes stinking of squid haha
