Fished by the paddling pool last night 6.30 to 10 30pm.
Damned windy (NE?) and cool after the sun went down.
The floaty was put to good use again.
I only has salted lug and party squid for bait and chucked out less than 30yds.
I had a 12 oz flounder on a lug and squid cocktail on the first cast and nothing, not even a bite after that.
At least I didnt get a 3rd consecutive blank from this mark.
2 other people fishing theree each had an eel.
Loads of weed about though.

A few cars drove past us heading east along the apron.
Do you need a key to get through the barrier by the slipway or do you take your chances on it being locked on the way out?
A couple of vehicles seemed to take for ever getting out at, what from a distance, looked like the barrier.

I believe there was a match at Reculver as well last night - Any info on that ?

it was me driving down the prom and yes u do need a key or take the risk of being locked in, luckly i have a key, i had a 6.5 lb thornback and the herne bay comp saw 2 stingers
