Visiting Morfa Nefyn next weekend for a three day fishing trip with some buddies. Just wondering if a particular part of the beach is fishing well. Also....are there any particular marks anyone can recommend on the headland. I've looked on google maps and there's a little crescent shaped cove on the west side that looks good as does the point of the headland itself but not sure on accesibility?

Cheers in advance

when at morfa nefyn you will see signs for the golf course. you can use the carpark just outside the golfcourse. its an easy hike from here along the path through the golf course to the headland. as you walk along you will see the rocks and rough ground to your left. the bays on your right are relatively shallow. just before you get to the end of the path cut accross the grass on your left to the rocks. the waters deep here but can be snaggy. weve had wrasse, pollock, dogs and bass here. i,m sure if you fished it through darkness theres the chance of a ray or huss.

at the very tip of the headland theres a tide rip between the mainland and a small island. it can be good for pollock to lures or deep spun sandeels.

going back to morfa nefyn you will see a sign for the beach. there is limited parking at the bottom of the ramp but fishing this beach in darkness can produce the odd ray with dogs, whiting etc.

looking on google maps you will see the bay goes around in a large ark from morfa nefyn to nefyn. anywhere on this beach can fish for bass, flounders, dogs, huss or rays.

but......... its a bit early yet for some species.

personally i,d have a wander about with a lure rod over the rocks during daylight or try with worms or crab down the side for a wrasse. then fish the bottom on the beaches in darkness with fish baits.
