Hello All,

I'm thinking about having a bash for the mullet in the Ouse this summer. I saw some fantastic fish cruising around between Lewes and Hamsey whilst walking the banks last year but never got around to targetting them. If anyone has any experience fishing the Ouse and would be willing to pass on some tips regarding technique/tides/location etc... I'd be very appreciative of a head start as I'm led to believe they can be quite tricky and spooky at times! Any help or advice would be most welcome!

Many thanks in advance, Sam.

I fished there several times last year . Just up north of where they have the car-boot sale.
I found that it is hard work at highish tide and most of mine came at low tide or low ebb on a float which was well over depth with red rag. ( What coarse anglers call "laying -on " ) I think last summer had about 5/6 all around 3 lb mark.

Good luck

G
