Trevor your in the right place for Cockles and Lug in Kircubbin,
you"ll not have to go far for lug i can tell you that. You can also dig sandeels on the beach as well at low spring tides. This time of year the Strangford Lug are well down deep, and i dont know if your pump will draw them out from that far down,, its a three/ four spit dig ?
Being inside Strangford Lough i don"t know of many deep water marks but i"m am sure a pint will loosen a few tongues down the bar. Not as some would believe in Northern Ireland that we are all anglers, you aint seen no one digging down that way because there are about
50 anglers total on the Down coast lol at most hahahah.
Maybe stick another wee post on the catch reports as this thread is not seen by many.
R=Mac on the NI forum page is from Portaferry way, he may tell you a few easy spots.
Now ragworm ye say ????? at 6 quid a bag to buy you"ll not get to many telling you their Rag beds hahahah sorry Trevor that"s the way it is lol but Rag, white Rag, blow and yellow tails are able to be got,, look out for rocky or muddy ground for the rag over here..
Dont be a stranger Trevor,, join in we the lads write a post or two and i"m sure you"ll find out all ye want to know,, and more
And welcome to Norn Ireland
Mark...
