I was intending to fish Whitehorses as it's right on my doorstep but after reading Paulolo's post from yesterday (thanks Paulolo) I decided to jump in the car for the short drive to Langney Point.
It was always only going to be a short session (noon to 3pm), but I was surprised to find no-one else there - set myself up on the shingle near by the harbour rocks, using two rods both with 2 hook flappers and fresh lug pumped the evening before.
Little knocks and rattles right from the off and finished up with 3 bass (not even schoolie size), a weever (welcome, as a new species for the year), the obligatory whiting, but only the one and 6 flounder, 3 of them a decent size at 32cm, 33cm and 34cm. Kept a couple of the big ones which were deep hooked.
The threatened rain held off and all in all a nice little session.
