hi got lucky and have been lent a yaught for the weekend but can only fish monday morning so am gona try mackerel feathers but not to sure were to go wether to try the solent out by no mans land fort or yaverland to sandown perhaps any help most aprreciated

Possibly any where in the solent ,the fort should be ok, maybe your best bet is the end of Bembridge ledge, Wotton Creek and up to Osbourne bay may be ok but if it is calm then just look for the birds.
Failing that you should pick them up with a spinner overboard anyplace in the Solent

Off Yarmouth is a good spot, directly in front of the Warners Hotel, Norton Grange, about 500 yards of shore would put you amongst the fish, mackeral, across the bank of rocks.

The whole area around there is good fishing, watch out for the tides though, not big, but powerful.
