Hi mate & welcome, at the moment, summer being what it is , the fishing can be a bit patchy. You'd be best off choosing any of the rougher / weedier rock marks if you want to try for a summer codling.
Alternatively, the Pipe at Whitley bay can offer the chance of a nice plaice as well and is also good for a bit of spinning for mackerel & maybe the odd pollack.
If there's a bit of a sea running you can also pick up the odd bass (usually ragworm's the best bait) - one good mark is the Rex Prom (in front of the Rex Hotel - W/Bay) at high tide. Good luck!:thumbs:
