Iif i was you id give up shore fishing for a year or two and take up boat fishing.by this i mean paying a skipper to take you out and then WATCH + LEARN.successful skippers take many years learning to give their crew a good days fishing.but you do have to start somewhere of courseand i do beleive this could be a good place to start.you can also buy nautical maps showing you all the wrecks, rough ground, rock pinnacles and depths.another option would be to buy a small boat,i mean like 17/18ft and use it in the estuarys and then when you become confident you can go off shore a bit in calmer seas.nothing is impossible ,.but there are ways of going about things.good luck.
